Day 2 of the UAW Special Bargaining Convention

Day 2 of the UAW Special Bargaining Convention:
The Convention started with an invocation by UAW Local 2164 Chaplain Brother Patrick Klein. Patrick touched on the tragedy that occurred in Nashville this week, sending all our thoughts and prayers to the victim’s families.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer spoke to the Convention, praising the UAW for all that it has done over the years. Governor Whitmer spoke about how Michigan is the first state in history to repeal “Right to Work” and reestablished a prevailing wage.
Resolutions were brought to the floor today, all of which were accepted by the Delegates:

5. Temporaries – Revision of temp language is necessary or totally eliminated (goal is 90 days & hired)
6. Benefits for Service Men & Women – stronger language
