54 Temporary Workers Made Permanent!

Earlier this month, the UAW and GM converted 54 temporary workers to permanent status within the company. This is a monumental win for our membership and definitely a life-changing event for our brother and sisters. We congratulate each and every single of them! Special thank you to UAW/GM Shop Chairman Jason Spain, and Local 1853 President John Rutherford for their commentary and answering questions.

Becoming permanent grants these members seniority rights -- which includes job bid rights, better benefits, better wages, and much more! This is the power of collective bargaining and something our local bargaining teams will always push for our membership.
