Lung Cancer Awareness Day - Jimmy Jones
Our brothers and sisters on the line are supporting Jimmy today as he faces another round of chemotherapy.
Jimmy's story: He has had shortness of breath for over three years. After he was able to get a checkup with a pulmonologist, an CT scan found the problem. After a biopsy later, it was confirmed as lung cancer. Jimmy had surgery that removed a top portion of his left lung; however, they discovered that the cancer moved into his lymph nodes.
Jimmy has now been undergoing chemotherapy to stave off any further development. All the donations from the shirts have helped cover lost wages from being on short-term disability and we thank all our brothers and sisters for helping our family in need.
All of us at Local 1853 wish you well, Jimmy, and hope for a speedy recovery! #CANCERSUCKS#UnionFamily
